pro tips
Ranges are one-based and inclusive: 5-8 includes 5, 6, 7 and 8.
If you want to delete a few pages instead of keeping a few, use remove pages.
The extracted file is a new document; the original is not modified.
what it does
Choose a PDF, list the pages you want to keep, and download a new PDF that contains only those pages. The page order follows the source document.
Use it to pull a signed page out of a contract, save a single chapter, or send only the pages that matter to someone who does not need the rest.
A 40-page report with pages 1, 5-8 and 20 extracted becomes a 6-page PDF. The pages keep their size and content; nothing is re-rendered.
The extraction runs locally with pdf-lib. The source is read into memory, selected pages are copied, and the new document is downloaded as a blob. Nothing leaves your browser.
quick answers
Does extracting preserve quality?
Yes. Pages are copied, so text and images keep their original quality.
Can I extract from a password-protected PDF?
Not yet. Encrypted files are rejected with a clear message.
Does this remove pages from the original?
No. It creates a new PDF with the selected pages; the original stays as it was.
