Render at 150 DPI, JPG, and use the page image in a post.

Print-quality pages

Choose 300 DPI and PNG for crisp text.

A whole document

Render every page and download the ZIP.

pro tips

Use 150 DPI for screens and 300 DPI only for print or OCR work.

PNG is lossless and larger; JPG is smaller and fine for photographic pages.

Multi-page PDFs arrive as a ZIP; the files are named page by page.

what it does

Choose a PDF and render each page as a JPG or PNG. Pick 72, 150 or 300 DPI depending on whether the image is for a screen, a document or print. A single-page PDF downloads directly; a multi-page PDF downloads as a ZIP with one image per page.

It is the tool for a slide deck shared as a PDF, a page you need inside a design app, a preview for a website, or a document that has to become an image because the destination refuses PDFs.

At 150 DPI an A4 page becomes roughly 1240 by 1754 pixels. At 300 DPI it is roughly 2480 by 3508. Higher DPI means sharper text and much larger files; 150 is usually the right compromise for screens.

The rendering happens locally with pdf.js, and the ZIP is built with JSZip. The PDF is never uploaded. Note that this rasterises the page, so text becomes pixels and stops being selectable. For the other direction, the image to PDF converter handles JPG and PNG files.

quick answers

Can I convert only one page?

Not yet. The tool renders the whole PDF; for a single page, extract that page first and then convert it.

Is the text still selectable?

No. The output is an image, so the text becomes pixels. Use extract text if you need the words.

Are my files uploaded?

No. pdf.js runs in your browser and the pages are rendered on a canvas.
